With our GreenTools for Google Apps (G4G) application, we're making available Google APIs through the IBM i. Right now we have three available:
We've been asked if (and when) a Google Drive addon will be available. Well, it would be already, but the API access isn't open yet for devices such as the IBM i which doesn't have a native browser. That is because in order to work with the Google APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication is needed to grant access. The IBM i requires the use of "Authentication for Devices", which means devices that don't have a browser (unlike a PC or Smart Phone).
Right now we're working with the guys at Google in the OAuth team and explaining our need to them. So hopefully soon access will be granted and in a couple weeks from then, we will have a Google Drive addon for G4G!
We're still waiting to hear from Google on if they will allow "devices" to access drive, but, in the meantime we're also working on another method of OAuth 2.0 authorization.
This means that even if Google decides not to open up the authorization we may be able to get around this issue and offer pretty much any Google App that is available to users of the IBM i (AS/400) on the green screen!
Stay tuned for more info!

In working with Google we were able to put together a different method for OAuth 2.0 validation so pretty much any of the Google APIs, including Google Drive, can now be available to your on your IBM i!
