If you haven't received the notification from Vertex yet, they are again changing their credentials which will affect the use of our VTXCLOUD software.

 

Here is the announcement if you haven't received it.

 

This change will be required before September 1, 2025.

 

What do you need to do for VTXCLOUD on your IBM i?

 

1.  If you're not already up to date with at least VTXCLOUD v6.10 you should update that first.  You can find the latest version of VTXCLOUD at https://www.bvstools.com/vtxcloud.  If you are already on V6.00 or higher, you can get Service Pack SP250801 by clicking here.  

2.  Next, follow the instructions in the Vertex announcement to create your new Client ID and Client Secret in VERX IDP.

3.  Update the VCCTLPF file in your current VTXCLOUD library in include your new Client ID, Client Secret and the new OAuth 2.0 endpoint and the 3 new control values listed below:

 

I have also made VTXCLOUD v6.10 available at https://www.bvstools.com/vtxcloud with the control file updates and updates to the documentation, but installing the new version isn't required.  This will be mainly for new installs so they have the correct information.
